The Story in Turkish
Köyde amcamın oğlugil hayvancılık yapıyor. Küçükbaş hayvan besliyorlar. Onu da hani yem falan pahalı olduğu için hani böyle araziye çıkarıp... arazi de doğal işte otlardan falan yiyorlar ya?
Amcamın oğluyla beraber gittik. Evden bayağı uzak bir yerler işte tarlalara falan böyle otlatmaya götürüyoruz. Orada hiç beklemediğimiz bir an bir yağmur yağmaya başladı. Yine büyük bir ağacın altına bütün koyunları böyle doğruştuk onları getirdik.
Şimdi biz de ister istemez… ıslanıyon ve üşüyon. Amcamın oğlu dedi ki… (o işte zaten köyde yaşıyor, biliyor) dedi ki koyunların arasına gir. Kendi de koyunların arasına girdi. Orada biraz bir sınıf yağmur durunca da böyle araziden aşağı geliyoruz ama çamur falan… Bayağı bir rezil olmuştuk orada böyle bi’ çamurda kaydık, düştük.
Arazide rezil olmuştuk.
English Translation
In the village, my cousin and his family work on a farm. They raise small livestock. They take them out to the fields to graze, you know, because animal feed is expensive. The fields are natural, they graze on the grass and such, you know?
I went with my cousin (literally, my paternal uncle’s son). We took them to places far away from home, to the fields and such to graze. At a point where we weren’t expecting it, it started raining. We brought all the sheep and lined them up under a big tree.
Now, we… whether you like it or not, you get wet and cold. My cousin said (you know, he lives in the village, [so] he knows) “Go in among the sheep.” And he himself went in among the sheep. After the rain got a bit lighter, we came down from the field, but there was mud and such. We ended up making quite a fool of ourselves, slipping and falling in the mud.
We made fools of ourselves out in the field.
